No. We ask you to clear a small area around the work zone. We’ll protect furniture and floors, and you can stay home. If fumes from finish are a concern, we ventilate and one room may need limited foot traffic until dry.

We use high-quality clear coat finishes designed for hardwood floors. Most finishes allow light foot traffic later in the day, and full furniture return and normal use the next morning (we’ll confirm specific dry times with you).

A cleaning & recoat or screening & recoat will typically extend the life of your floor’s finish by several years, depending on traffic. With regular maintenance, you can delay full sanding & refinishing.

Not in our one-day service. For floors with deep damage, warping or heavy wear, full sanding may be required (which takes longer and may require furniture removal). We’ll assess and tell you if a full refinish is necessary. If your floor is in reasonably good condition, our one-day service is perfect.
